Preserving the past . . . building the future.
The $25.5 million renovation of the Historic Tennessee Theatre was made possible through a partnership of contributors from government, foundations, corporations and private individuals. The renovation preserved the past by retaining and restoring the original 1928 Spanish Moorish architecture.
Building the future will be accomplished through diverse programming that will provide entertainment and cultural events satisfying a wide variety of tastes. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Tennessee Theatre continues to raise money each year to support operating costs and to subsidize some programs.
Your continued support is requested so that the theater can continue to serve as Knoxville’s Grand Entertainment Palace. Whether you are an individual wishing to make a personal contribution or a corporation that wishes to forge a partnership, there are a variety of ways that you can make an impact on the Tennessee Theatre’s future.
